What is Interior Design?

During Catherine’s first semester at TCU, a wise professor of Design Fundamentals told the room full of wide-eyed freshmen just what exactly they had signed up for. She explained that if you turn a house upside down, anything that falls out is “decoration” (i.e. furniture, window treatments, art, etc.) and anything that remains is “design” (i.e. walls, cabinetry, electrical, etc.). As a full service interior design firm, we aim to be whatever our clients need, from conception to completion… and anything in between. We offer two levels of service and have found that 99% of our clients fall in one of these two categories.

Our Services

Elevate

If we could choose how to best serve you, we would ask that you allow us to participate in every aspect of your project from conception to completion. This includes ongoing meetings with you to determine project intent and desired aesthetic, drafting construction documents including materials selections, liaising with the contractor throughout the project, selecting and procuring furnishings, and installing decorative elements such as lighting, art, and accessories. Our goal is to help you achieve the function and beauty you crave, elevating your daily life one space at a time… or possibly all at the same time.

Embellish

Perhaps  you don’t have a major construction project in mind and are looking for less involvement from us. We have an option for that, as well! In our a la carte service, we seek to understand your particular needs and make them a reality. Whether you’re looking for advice on paint colors, selecting new light fixtures, commissioning a piece of art, or reupholstering existing furniture… this service is for you.
